This beginner workshop is the perfect opportunity for you to learn from Jen Coatesworth who started the Yummy Cupcake Company in 2006, making it one of the longest established specialist cupcake businesses in the country!
With a maximum of 8 people per workshop you’ll get lots of individual attention and have the opportunity to ask plenty of questions. It’s designed for complete beginners or just those looking for a refresher. With our help; you too can ice beautiful cupcakes in just 2 hours, even if you’ve never picked up an icing bag before!
You will learn to:
- Prepare flower paste for making small edible decorations
- Use food colours to match virtually any colour scheme and make two tone icings
- Use cutters to make a wide variety of shapes (including hearts, flowers, butterflies, stars)
- Pipe the Yummy way using a variety of nozzles including star and plain
You’ll also see how we make our delicious Yummy icing so you can go home and practice to your heart’s content!
At the end of your Yummy workshop you will have;
- 6 Yummy cupcakes that you will have designed and decorated yourself presented in a Yummy presentation box
- The knowledge of how to make perfect icing for piping every time!
- The ability to pipe the Yummy swirl
- The confidence to work with colours and basic sugarcraft equipment to make your own unique decorations
Equipment and Facilities: Everyone in the class will be provided with a full set of equipment and ingredients including mixing bowls, piping bags and nozzles, a huge range of glitters, sprinkles, food colours, fondants, cutters and moulds…we’ll even provide you with a “Yummy” apron to wear!
